Modified Dadant Beehive

American in origin, this hive is similar to the Langstroth, both being top bee space. The frames however are deeper.

The complete hive comprises: Floor with entrance block, brood chamber with frames and foundation, framed wire queen excluder, super with frames and foundation, Crownboard with two Porter bee escapes and a 4" metal covered roof.
