Two guesses as to the name of the person who is credited with the invention of this hive! Based on an American style, this hive is widely used in Scotland, where it is ideally suited to the climate.

The complete hive comprises: Floor with entrance block, brood chamber complete with frames and foundation, framed wire queen excluder, super with frames and foundation, Crownboard with Porter bee escapes and a 4" metal covered roof.
